Alex Wright

Manager, Innovation and Communication

Alex Wright joined the Sequoia Hospital Foundation in 2003.  In his current role as Manager of Innovation and Communication, Alex oversees the Foundation's written and visual communication as well as prospect research and project development. Alex also oversees the Dr. William Kennett Memorial Nursing Scholarship Program.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Alex spent a decade in the business development and branding/design world working on projects for top consumer brands before deciding to transition to something with more social responsibility. A graduate of the University of the Pacific, Alex is the past Chair of Redwood City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission and has served on the boards of the Sitike Counseling Center, Sustainable Redwood City and Teach for Your Dreams. Alex is a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, the California Advancement Researchers Association and is a graduate of the Redwood City/San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Program.

When not in the office Alex enjoys spending time with his wife (a proud Sequoia Hospital baby) and his two adult sons and is the co-founder of a retail confection company.
