Melissa Kong, M.D.
Dr. Melissa Kong is a Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist with Silicon Valley Cardiology. Dr. Kong attended Princeton University where she graduated summa cum laude from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Dr. Kong completed medical school at Duke University where she stayed for her internship and residency in internal medicine, her fellowship in cardiovascular disease, and her subspecialty fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology. During her fellowship she was an author on seventeen peer reviewed articles.
Dr. Kong is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and cardiac electrophysiology. She has expertise in the management and ablation of complex arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation/flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia; management and implantation of cardiac devices such as loop recorders, PA pressure sensors, pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization therapy; and laser lead extraction. She also performs venous ablation for symptomatic chronic venous insufficiency and treats patients with all varieties of cardiovascular problems including coronary artery disease, heart failure, and valvular disease.
