Paraag Marathe is in his sixteenth year with the 49ers, and first as Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of Football Operations. Entering the 2016 season, he continues in his long-respected role as the team’s chief contract negotiator and salary cap architect, while overseeing the team’s football analytics department. Marathe is also a managing partner in the investment entity created by the York family. In 2015, he was selected as a member of the Sports Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 class. Marathe spent several years at Bain & Company, as a Senior Associate Consultant, where he advised clients in a variety of industries. Before that, he worked in the sports consulting group at the International Management Group (IMG). Paraag received his bachelor’s degree with high honors from the Haas School of Business at the University of California-Berkeley and his MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Paraag, his wife, Jennifer, and daughter, Juniper, born at Sequoia, live in Los Altos, CA.
