Session Info:

In this session you will gain an understanding of the rapidly changing landscape of philanthropy and how that fits with today’s nonprofit.  We will touch on everything from social entrepreneurship to crowdfunding, strategic philanthropy, planned giving and serving on nonprofit boards.  This is a collective action philanthropy session.  How can we be more effective with our community service and our philanthropy?  Come learn about ways to give, volunteer and how to be an effective board member.  Too often millennials are put into a box and defined as a group. In this session we will explore you as an individual change maker and help you build a deeper knowledge on how to drive change.

How and where can I learn about volunteering?  What resources can help me find effective organizations?  How do I build a philanthropic roadmap for myself?  Where do I start?  I don’t like Boards because they are mostly too old and boring?  Planned giving is for my parents...or is it?
