Giving in memory of Richard Valente

Richard passed away peacefully at his home in Redwood City at the age of 86. Richard was born in San Francisco, graduated from Lincoln High School, Class of 1946, served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad after 40 years of dedicated employment.
Richard was the dearly beloved husband of the late Mary C. Valente, devoted and loving father of Richard Valente of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Diane Guida and Barbara Goggiano of Redwood City, dear father-in-law of Sunny Valente, Rick Guida and the late Stephen Goggiano, loving brother of Valerie (the late dale), Donnelly of Boise Idaho, devoted and proud “Papa” of Anna (Greg) Ranes, Joseph Goggiano, Jack Guida, Bella, Ricky and Riley Valente. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Richard dedicated the last 10 years of his life to helping people and volunteering 7 days a week at Sequoia Hospital and was the Sequoia Award Winner for Outstanding Individual of the Year 2011-2012.
