About the Sequoia Hospital Foundation
For three decades, the Sequoia Hospital Foundation has been proud to partner with our community to secure funds and resources necessary to support Sequoia Hospital’s life-changing and life-saving programs.
It is our belief that every gift is special, regardless of the amount. Because the Sequoia Hospital Foundation uses 100% of your donation for patient care, programs and cutting-edge technology you will have the comfort of knowing you have done all you can to support Sequoia’s compassionate, quality care. Giving to support Sequoia Hospital has never been easier and we invite you to contribute in a way that is meaningful to you. Our Foundation staff is available to work with you to assure that you are able to focus on what is truly important – making a difference with your charitable gift.
PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with our mission, the Sequoia Hospital Foundation provides funding only for patient care and programs at Sequoia Hospital. We do not provide grants or funding for outside organizations or events.
The Sequoia Hospital Foundation is a nonprofit corporation as provided under sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Section 501(c)(3) recognizes the Sequoia Hospital Foundation as a charitable organization exempt from federal income tax, while section 509(a)(3) recognizes that as a “supporting organization” it is our mission to support Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital, itself a public charity.
In accordance with our 509(a)(3) “supporting organization” status, specific giving methods such as IRA rollovers must be directed by the donor to Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital instead of the Sequoia Hospital Foundation. Similarly, some private and community foundations limit their giving to only certain types of nonprofit organizations. In these cases, sometimes gifts, including those from donor advised funds, must be directed to Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital as well. As with all giving, the Sequoia Hospital Foundation will work with donors to facilitate their gifts and to steward all gifts appropriately.
Contributions are tax deductible in accordance with state and federal regulations.
